Norovirus: Chasing infection in Kerala..!? Be careful..!

Kerala health minister Veena George has asked the state government to maintain hygiene as the virus is spread through contaminated food, water, and surdata-faces. Following the detection of norovirus in kerala, the state government has released 5 guidelines for this infection. Two school children in kerala have been diagnosed with two norovirus infections. Samples of some students who complained of food poisoning were tested and found to be infected. Symptoms and guidelines for infection are here:

1. Norovirus - Similar to the rotavirus that causes diarrhea. It is a viral disease that is the most common cause of acute gastroenteritis worldwide. Symptoms include severe diarrhea, vomiting, headache, and body aches.

 5. The first case of Norovirus in kerala was reported in the alappuzha district in june last year. About 950 people were affected by norovirus-related severe diarrhea in 2021 in alappuzha municipality and nearby panchayats. The damage lasted one and a half months.
