In the last 24 hours in the state, 31 people have been affected by corona. Since then, the number of people infected and receiving treatment has risen to 100. The incidence of corona infection in the state of pondicherry has been steadily rising over the past few weeks. As of the 15th, 77 people had been infected. 8 of them recovered from corona yesterday. As a result, the number of victims dropped to 69. In this case, the day before yesterday, 1,809 people were tested for corona.
Of these, 23 were in pondicherry, 6 in Karaikal, and one each in the Enam and Magi regions, for a total of 31 cases. As a result, the number of infected people in the state has risen to 100. One of them from pondicherry has been admitted to Jipmer Hospital and is receiving treatment. 69 in pondicherry, 16 in Karaikal, 5 in Enam, and 9 in Magi for a total of 99 people are being treated at home alone.
So far 1,27,589 people have been infected in pondicherry, 23,087 in Karaikal, 8,571 in Enam, and 6,776 in Magi for a total of 1,66,023. Of these, 1,63,961 have recovered. The spread of corona infection in the state has increased from 1.05 percent on the 15th to 1.71 percent in a single day.
The day before yesterday, 1,015 people had been vaccinated.
This brings the total number of people vaccinated in the state to 9,69,731. Following the increasing spread of corona infection, the government is intensifying preventive measures.
