IPS officer basic salary starts from Rs 56,100 per month. IPS officers get many facilities like healthcare services, residence, service quarters.
Every year around 10 to 15 candidates are selected for these posts. The salary and allowances of an IFS officer depend on the place where he is posted. Special foreign allowance is provided to the officers posted outside the country.
