America's First Female Pundit!!

MANOJ KUMAR N

Even after putting a lot of pressure on my mind, I couldn't think of a single woman priest who had chanted mantras for a religious ceremony or a wedding.

The word priest conjures up an image of a man in the mind. women priests are uncommon in India. How many of these marriages have you witnessed where the rituals were performed by a female pundit?

The presence of a female priest at Dia Mirza's wedding last year drew a lot of attention. In normal Hindu house weddings or any religious agendas, the term "preacher" only refers to Panditji.

In such a case, a woman priest from America must be brought up because she is not only getting married as a female priest, but she has also studied all of the scriptures.

Sushma is from an indian family who is connected to her country's soil and culture. Sushma's grandmother has had an impact on her.

Sushma's decision to become a female priest has ushered in a major shift in Hinduism. She is America's first female priest, and she performs rituals for people of all races, sects, colours, and races, as well as homosexuals.

Other people take three hours to get married, but sushma completes the ceremony in just 35 minutes. sushma learned everything she knows about becoming a priest from her grandmother. Grandmother wasn't a priestess, but she knew everything there was to know about every mantra and scripture.

Launch of the 'Purple Pandit Project'

While being gay is considered a source of shame in our country, sushma founded the 'Purple Pandit Project,' a religious services organisation, in 2016.

In fact, sushma chose Purple as the name of her religious institution because it is considered a symbol of South Asia's 'gay' community.

Male priests have traditionally performed such rituals in America, as they have in India, but this is changing. women are coming forward in the Hindu religion, putting an end to centuries of discrimination and evil. With this initiative, sushma, the Vice President of an organic food company called 'Daily Harvest,' has also become a symbol of significant change in Hinduism.

Whether it is a funeral or Havan-worship, women of Hindu religion are progressing, and this is a true women's right.
