During this, about 2425 cases of travelling without a ticket and unbooked luggage were caught. The officers collected Rs 15 lakh 21 thousand 280 from them as railway revenue. Along with this, passengers who boarded the sleeper class without tickets were deboarded.Northeast Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh said that a campaign is being run against passengers travelling without tickets. The Northeast Railway administration is constantly trying to provide comfortable travel facilities to passengers. Under the direction of Northeast Railway General Manager Saumya Mathur and the leadership of Chief Chief Commercial Manager Manoj Kumar Sinha, surprise checks were conducted between Gorakhandr to Chhapra, andGorakhpur to Babhanan from june 20 to 30.Apart from this, a checking campaign was organized under the supervision of commercial officers on Gorakhpur to Basti, Gorakhpur to Belthara Road, Gorakhpur to Gonda, Gorakhpur to Siswa Bazaar and Gorakhpur to Siwan rail section. In this investigation, 2425 cases of no ticket/irregular ticket and unbooked luggage were caught. Rs 15 lakh 21 thousand 280 was recovered from them as railway revenue.
