Adipurush - In VFX we trust, Prabhas is Troll material

G GOWTHAM
Almost all big-budget movies now have new release dates. instead of days or weeks, but rather months, and in one instance, even a year! Something never before heard or envisioned is the cause. VFX, or special effects! Story and script be damned, our filmmakers can't even envision a movie without visual effects. It's no longer possible to construct a picture with a credible plot and people that revolve around it. Films are bombing left, right, and centre, so it makes sense. The "Have star, will travel" maxim is firmly held in the industry. Unfortunately, it appears that the actors the directors rely on are well past their prime.

Yes, the stars were what made the movie successful. In my lifetime, I have witnessed rajesh khanna and amitabh bachchan, two big stars, simultaneously deliver several hits. They were able to accomplish it because their movies had strong narratives and memorable musical scores that you could take with you when you left the theatre. Then there were other well-known actors like Rishi Kapoor, Dharmendra, Rajendra Kumar, Manoj Kumar, and Jeetendra. Each one of them produced more hits than flops. And when it was appropriate, they paused. The crowd was not coerced into listening to them. They returned to play parts better suited to their current age.

Today's movie stars are resistant to accepting their ageing. They want to keep playing the youthful parts in which they first gained notoriety. salman can no longer perform as well in action movies as he did a few years ago, and Shah Rukh cannot be considered as the same lover boy at the age of 50 or more. Others experience it similarly. The players refuse to leave the roles that guaranteed their success, so the producers go to VFX as a solution. Their elderly data-faces and bodies are altered by VFX to appear younger. The rest of the film may or may not require VFX, but it doesn't matter.
