Power Star and Jana Sena party President pawan kalyan got himself into problems by publicly announcing that he would charge a salary of Rs 2 crore per day for his films. Some might call it an honest admission or an innocent dialogue. "Usually, I complete a film in 20 to 22 days every month, and I bill an average of Rs 2 crore per day. Thus, I am paid between Rs. 40 and Rs. 44 crore for each film. Is that not sufficient for me? Why would I be bought out by anyone's offer? Pawan enquired.

On the occasion of the party's 10th founding day and in response to rumours that telangana chief minister K chandrasekhar Rao had offered him Rs 1,000 crore, he said this in a speech to the public on tuesday night in Machilipatnam. Forget about Pawan's exaggerated claims regarding his compensation for a moment; specialists predict that the Income Tax agency will pay close heed to his assertions.
It is true that the top movie stars in telugu cinema command high fees for their productions. Reports from tollywood circles claim that a few heroes have increased their pay to as much as Rs 80 crore or Rs 100 crore each film. Right now, he has invited IT department to give a raid at his places!
