From Shampoo, Soap to tv & AC..! Price Hike..!?
Inflation has become the biggest problem in the world. In April, the consumer price index rose to an eight-year low. Indonesia, the world's largest exporter of palm oil, has recently banned the export of palm oil due to a shortage there. The price of cooking oil has continued to rise around the world. Palm oil is the main ingredient used to make soap, wax, noodles, biscuits, and chocolate. Now there is a shortage of palm oil and the price has gone up, which is causing the prices of these products to go up.
Hindustan Unilever has increased the price of its products by up to 15 percent. The price of a 100 ml bottle of sun Silk Shampoo has gone up from Rs 8 to Rs 12.
Clinic shampoo prices have risen by up to 15 percent. Bath soap prices rose by 3.7 percent. Lux soap prices are up 9 percent. Clove & Lovely prices are up 8 percent. Ponds talcum price rises 5 to 7 percent.Surf Excel prices rose 20 percent in january alone. In April, Hindustan Unilever also raised prices on its products by 3 to 20 percent.
As the rupee continues to depreciate, companies that manufacture home appliances and consumer electronics, including TVs, washing machines, and refrigerators, have been at risk of rising prices since june as input costs have risen. They say prices could rise by at least 3 to 5 percent.
Following the Russia-Ukraine war, Domino's pizza has raised prices twice in the last five months. They have raised the price of pizza by up to 15 percent.
