The news that punjab National bank, India's second-largest public sector bank, has now raised fees for online transactions to NEFT and RTGS has come as a shock to the bank's customers. punjab National bank (PNB) has hiked fees for NEFT and RTGS services, which are used to transfer money online 24 hours a day. Punjab National bank has increased the fee for direct RTGS transactions at bank branches to Rs 24.50 and online RTGS transactions to Rs 24. It is to be noted that this fee is applicable for transactions between Rs. 2 lakhs and Rs. 5 lakhs. punjab National bank has also increased fees for NEFT transactions. Accordingly, it has been increased to Rs 2.25 for NEFT transactions up to Rs 10,000 and Rs 4.75 for transactions between Rs 10,000 and Rs 1 lakh.
It has also been increased to Rs 14.75 for transactions between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh and Rs 24.75 for transactions above Rs 2 lakh. It is noteworthy that this tariff hike has caused great dissatisfaction among the customers of punjab National Bank.
