INSIDE STORY: Samantha Did Not Change Religion?
It is now official that Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are dating each other and will be getting married very soon. They say the marriage is not in 2016 and is likely to have sometime in 2017. We have seen the discussion about how the marriage will happen in social media for a while now since Samantha is a Christian and Akkineni family follow Hinduism.
But then there are rumours that Samantha embraced Hinduism recently for Naga Chaitanya so as not to complicate things. Some pictures have surdata-faced on social media where in the couple is performing some rituals. Since, the marriage is far away, those rituals can not be marriage related. So, Social media is guessing that Samantha changed her religion with the necessary rituals.
But then sources close to Samantha tells us that there is no truth in those rumours. They say these pictures are from a Shanthi Pooja performed by the couple a couple of months ago in Secunderabad to wade away evil. They say Samantha is still a Christian and Akkineni family respects that. On the other side, Samantha already confirmed that she will continue doing films even after the marriage.
The first film she signs after the love announcement may be with Naga Chaitanya as well. The couple is in talks to star in the official remake of Bollywood Blockbuster, Two States. The romantic comedy drama film directed by Abhishek Varman stars Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles was based on a novel written by Chetan Bhagat on the same name.
