Kajal Aggarwal is a popular actress prominently seen in Tamil and Telugu movies. She had acted in VVD coconut oil advertisement two years back. The ad was constantly telecast on all television channels. However recently Kajal had filed a case against VVD alleging that the contract was signed with her to telecast the particular advertisement for only one year.

Since the company had extended the contract period and telecast the ad, Kajal Aggarwal had filed a lawsuit demanding a penalty of INR 2 crores and 50 lakhs. The copyright court which inquired the case has dismissed the petition stating that the VVD company holds the contract for 60 years telecast and it was not right for anyone to claim to stop the telecast in 1 year.

The judge had also said that Kajal Aggarwal's role in the advertisement ended with her getting her payment and acting in it. Kajal Aggarwal had filed an appeal against this decision of the court in the high court, but the High court endorsed the verdict and dismissed her petition inflicting a major setback for Kajal Aggarwal.
