Actress Poorna had ventured into films with the movie Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moondramandu with Bharath but the movie was a huge disaster though she was branded as the next Asin for her pretty looks. However, the actress failed with her recent releases and even though she tonsured her head for 'Kodi Veeran' it ended as a dreadful outing.
Next, she starred in many flop movies like Kanda Kottai, Vithagan, Vellore Mavatttam, Kodi Veeran, Savarakathi, etc and was also seen tonsuring her head for one of her movies. She also acted in sexy roles in movies like Avunu, Avunu 2.
Now the actress has been reportedly signed to star in an important role in Suriya's upcoming movie Kaappaan which has Sayyeshaa as the lead lady and is directed by KV Anand, Let's see if Kaappaan character can save her career.
