Oviya Director Sarkunam receives threat
Director Sarkunam entered films with the comedy hit movie Kalavani and then made the national award-winning movie Vaagai Sooda Vaa again starring Vemal, besides movies like Naiyandi and Chandi Veeran.

The director was supposed to have his next release as Kalavani 2, which is the sequel to his debut Kalavani featuring Vemal, Oviya, Ganja Karuppu, Ilavarasu, and Saranya ponvannan and was planned to release in May. But the release was delayed by a stay demand from Dhanalakshmi productions.

The stay was removed and the director, who bankrolled the movie has now filed a complaint in Chennai Commissioner office, that he's getting death threats telling him not to release the movie. Now, the movie has been released and Sarkunam made a request to cops to take action against those who threaten him.
