The novel "Ponniyin Selvan" by the late
writer Kalki is currently being made into a film of the same name and as we knew, it is directed by Mani Ratnam, and the film is being made in two parts. The film stars
aishwarya Rai, Vikram,
karthi,
jayam ravi,
keerthi Suresh, and Sarathkumar in the lead roles and technical wise,
ravi Varman is the cinematographer for the film which has
music by AR Rahman.
Filming is currently underway in Madhya Pradesh, having already been completed in
pondicherry and
hyderabad and now, the crew then proceeded to Maheshwar, where the filming, which had initially taken place in Orchha and Gwalior, has been completed. The
romantic scenes of
karthi and
trisha playing the roles of Vandiyadhevan and Kundavai are being filmed at the old Akhilya
fort on the banks of the
narmada river right now.
The PS crew will return to
chennai soon as the shooting will be over in a few days. After that, some scenes starring
karthi will be shot in the Satyamangalam forest. As per reports,
trisha herself shared some shooting spot location photos and has confirmed the same that some
romantic portions are being canned between her and actor
karthi right now and still more scenes are left to be shot.
