The indira gandhi International airport in delhi saw flooded at the entrance and in other places on saturday morning after torrential rain in the country's capital. The flood has now been evacuated and the area is clear, according to officials. The delhi airport said in a tweet, "The forecourt was waterlogged for a brief time due to heavy rain that came out of nowhere. Our team got together right away to look into it, and the problem was quickly fixed."
Because of the rough weather, five planes were rerouted from the airfield. Due to inclement snow in delhi, three indigo planes were rescheduled on Saturday. From 8.40 a.m. on friday and 8.40 a.m. on saturday, the Safdarjung Planetarium in delhi recorded 93.5 inches of rain. Several city roadways were flooded on saturday morning as a consequence of the monsoon downpours.
This rainy season, the Safdarjung Station has registered a total of 1,210 mm of precipitation in the country's capital. Prior to this, delhi had received 1,022 mm of rain during the rainy season in 2003. With this, the 2021 downpours have produced the most rainfall in delhi since 1975, when 1,220 mm of rain fell on the city.
