Vishnu Manchu takes Oath as MAA President
Vishnu Manchu, who was elected president of the movie Artistes Association (MAA) last week, took the oath of office Friday night. In a tense campaign, vishnu overcame renowned actor prakash raj to win the presidency. He was sworn in in the presence of telangana Cinematography minister Talasani Shrinivas Yadav, as well as his family and other film industry figures.
Vishnu uploaded a few videos from the oath ceremony on Instagram. His sister lakshmi Manchu, his wife Viranca, and others can be seen. Prabhas' uncle, legendary actor Krishnam Raju, and malayalam superstar mohanlal both congratulated vishnu on his MAA victory. mohan babu, Vishnu's father, also spoke during the ceremony, thanking the members of the association for electing manchu vishnu as the MAA's president and remembering the elders in the industry.
Mohan Babu and vishnu Manchu will also meet with KCR, the chief minister of telangana, and YS Jagan, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. The MAA election results may be challenged in court by a Prakash Raj-led commission. After losing the elections, prakash raj resigned from the MAA membership, and his winning panel members followed suit.
