Telangana Ticket Rates- Cold eyed on Tollywood!
The government has agreed to increase movie ticket rates in Telangana. Issued orders to this effect.
Controversy continues over the reduction of movie ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh. The government is making announcements that there will be no increase. However, the neighbouring state of telangana government did not go into any controversy. Approved the increase in ticket rates. In the past, film industry leaders have asked the government to allow them to raise ticket prices as costs have skyrocketed. However, the government did not say for sure. With this, they recently resorted to court.
The High court, which was hearing a petition filed by cine exhibitors and others, allowed the hike in rates temporarily and directed the government to announce the decision of the committee of officials as soon as possible.
The recommendations were made by a committee of officials who held several rounds of talks with senior celebrities. The government has issued these directives in line with those recommendations.
According to the latest directives issued by the telangana government .. Ticket rates in AC theatres will be between Rs.50 and Rs.150. Non-AC theatres range from Rs.30 to Rs.70.
Multiplexes cost between Rs 100 and Rs 250. A maximum of Rs.200 is available for recliner seats in single theatres. A maximum of Rs.300 can be booked for recliners in multiplexes. Special Imax Large Screen Single Theaters Ticket Prices Rs.250
However, if you buy tickets in theatres till now .. GST will not be different. GST is charged separately when purchasing a ticket online. Now the telangana government has given permission to charge GST to the spectator instead of the ticket price.
Apart from this, the government has allowed Rs 5 per ticket in AC theatres and Rs 3 per ticket in non-AC under operating charges. The telangana government has directed that the details of GST, management and online charges on the tickets should be clear.
