Kiran Abbavaaram's opening film, Rajaa Vaaru rani Gaaru, was a moderate success. With his second movie, SR Kalyanamandaapam, he had a bigger hit. His third feature, Sebastien PC 524, was supposed to be his hat-trick, but the streak was broken when the film bombed at the box office. Sebastien PC 524 was intended to be released on february 25, but it was cancelled because to the simultaneous release of Bheemlaa Nayaak.
On march 4th, it was released, competing with Sharwaanand's Aadavaalluu Meekku Johaarluu. Sebastien had a dismal first weekend at the ticket sales due to a lack of excitement. The film's run was further harmed by the bad reviews. Several shows in the B and C districts were reportedly cancelled owing to low attendance. Apparently, only two thousand rupees were collected at a few theatres.
These elements demonstrate why the film was such a catastrophic failure. It would be interesting to see if kiran can make a strong comeback with his next picture. Even the so-called family flick AMJ also failed miserably after the hype it generated and Sharwaa's bloated body got trolled ruthelssly by the social media and the netizens.
