The Real story behind Major sandeep Unnikrishnan..!

      The people of india have not forgotten the terror attack on 26 november 2008. On this day, terrorists took people hostage at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. He had killed so many people. Many policemen, the army, and ATS personnel of our country were martyred on this day.  One of them was Major sandeep Unnikrishnan. Who not only bravely saved the lives of people at that time. Rather, he gave a befitting reply to the terrorists. Major sandeep Unnikrishnan was born on 15 march 1977 in Cheruvannur, kozhikode district, Kerala. After birth, his family moved from Cheruvannur to Bangalore. He belonged to a Malayali family.
     Major Sandeep's father K. Unnikrishnan, who is an officer, retired from the indian Space Research Organization(ISRO). or His mother is Mrs. Dhanalakshmi Unnikrishnan. He was the single child of his parents. The spirit of service to the country was filled in Major sandeep since childhood. Major sandeep did his early schooling at Frank Anthony Public school in Bangalore. He spent his 14 years here. Graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree from ISC Science. He wanted to join the army since childhood. Sandeep's friends and his teacher say that sandeep was a very good athlete. Who was always active in sports activities. Major sandeep Unnikrishnan joined the National Defense Academy (NDA) in 1995. He got selected for NDA's 94th course. In NDA, sandeep Unnikrishnan was part of the oscar Squadron. Along with NDA, he was known for his Selfless, Generous, Calm, and Composed nature. When Major sandeep was appointed as a lieutenant. Then the Kargil war was going on. Major sandeep was then sent to the Kargil War. So he was posted on the Forward Post. During 'Operation Vijay' in July 1999, by Pakistani troops. Heavy artillery attacks continued. He then responded to the heavy bombardment, while stationed in the forward post. Showed his patience and determination.    

After the Kargil war, he was elevated from Lieutenant to Captain on 12 june 2003. After this, on 13 june 2005, he was made a Major. A fatal course is considered to be the most difficult course in the indian Army. He was done twice by Major sandeep Unnikrishnan. Instructor Grading which is the best grading in the indian army was achieved for him. Apart from this, Major sandeep served in siachen after training at High Altitude Warfare school, Gulmarg. By the time Major sandeep Unnikrishnan reached mumbai with the team. By then the most crucial 10 hours of the beginning had passed. The Taj Hotel was one such building. The inner part of which no one in the team was aware. The biggest challenge before him was that he did not have any map of the hotel. How many terrorists were inside? Didn't even know that. How many people were in which room? There was no hostage among the guests. He had no such information. On top of all this, it was dark inside the hotel. Along with this, terrorists were doing arson from time to time. But when the situation is the opposite. That's when the best warrior is called. On november 27, 14 NSG commandos entered the Taj Hotel from different routes. Major sandeep with his hit team, through the stairs from the floor below. Headed to the first floor. It was around 1:00 the night. In Major Sandeep's team, besides him were sunil Jodha, Manoj Kumar, Babulal, and kishore Kumar.At least 3 terrorists were present in the hotel. He was constantly trying to entangle the security forces from one room to another, from one floor to another. On top of this, the hotel is submerged in darkness. The exact position of the terrorists could not even be guessed. Major sandeep was leading his team. He was the shield from the bullets of every terrorist from the front. On the first floor, one by one knocked on the door of all the guest rooms. The rooms in which there were guests. helped them out. In such a situation, 14 people were freed from fear.As soon as the hit team started moving towards the second floor. Suddenly a hail of bullets came from above. The commandos escaped by taking the cover of the wall. But he understood that the terrorists had seen him. The terrorists were in better condition. He had seen the shadow of the NSG Commandos. Waited for them to come over. Major Unnikrishnan gestured, asking sunil and Babulal to climb the stairs on the left. Just then, from behind the door, a granite fell there. But the commandos also came out with their lives on their palms. With the help of cover fire from his two commandos, Major sandeep was moving in the direction of the bullet. Then another granite fell. This time in the blast, Commando sunil Jodha was badly injured.  The bullets started raining. Everyone got shocked. Major sandeep Unnikrishnan stood in front. Bullets kept penetrating them. He continued to compete, becoming the shield of his comrades. Anything can happen to a courageous officer like him. Over wireless, kept trying to contact him. But till the second morning of the end of the operation, no one could know. That sandeep is no more.  The Ashoka Chakra award was awarded to Major sandeep Unnikrishnan. This honor was given to him under Operation  Tornado. Major sandeep Unnikrishnan's biopic has been made which will be released on june 3. The name of this movie is 'Major'. Which depicts the 26/11 attack on the Taj Hotel. It also depicts the entire life of martyr Major sandeep Unnikrishnan.
