Alphonse Puthren, a malayalam director with only two films under his belt, is a rising figure in the business. While his first film, Neram, was a sleeper hit, his second film, premam, became a commercial success. premam has been on the big screen for more than seven years. Alphonse Puthren returns with his third picture, Gold, after a long hiatus. The introduction teaser for this film, which stars prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in the key roles, was published a few months ago and received a positive response from the audience.
The film's first look poster has now been released by the producers. The whole cast of the film is represented on this poster, not only prithviraj and Nayanthara. In the poster, we can see Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinay Forrt, roshan Mathew, Ajmal Ameer, krishna Sankar, Shabareesh Varma, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, Jagadish, Saiju Kurup, Deepti Sati, suresh Krishna, Shanti Krishna, and a few others. Gold, billed as a comedy-drama, is expected to be released in august of this year. The film's music is being composed by Rajesh Murugesan.
