Why Day Shift's Vampire Hunters Being Different From Blade Is A Good Thing
Any film or television series based on the vampire hunting genre will unavoidably draw comparisons to the Daywalker stories since Blade changed the way vampire hunting movies are perceived in the public. Day Shift is doing everything it can to set itself apart from Blade with its noticeably more comic tone, as it is already extremely conscious of this. It's equally as clever to go one step farther and depict vampire hunting as a legitimate industry.
