According to family reports, veteran telugu actor Uppalapati krishnam raju passed away at the age of 83 on sunday morning. His wife and three daughters are still living. Prabhas, the star of "Bahubali," is his nephew. Krishnam Raju, who is referred to as the "Rebel Star" of Tollywood, has appeared in more than 180 films over the course of a five-decade acting career.

Krishnam Raju has appeared in a variety of films, including historical and mythical as well as social, family, romantic, and thriller films. Amara Deepam, Sita Ramulu, Katakataala Rudraiah, and many other of his films have found success. In addition to winning the Nandi Award twice from the government of Andhra Pradesh, krishnam raju took home the 1986 Filmfare Best Actor prize for the role of Tandra Paparayudu. In 2006, he received the Filmfare South "Lifetime Achievement" award.

Krishnam Raju, who was born on january 20, 1940, in the west godavari district, made his acting debut in "Chilaka Gorinka" in 1966. In a few films, he also played the anti-hero. With films like "Bhakta Kannappa" and "Tandra Paparayudu," krishnam raju became well-known in telugu households. Under the 'Gopi krishna Movies' label, he also produced a number of films.
Krishnam Raju eventually pursued a career in politics in addition to acting in movies. In 1991, he ran for office in narasapuram as the congress candidate, but he lost. He won the 1999 elections from the same seat as the bjp candidate, and from 1999 to 2004, he was a junior minister in the Vajpayee administration.
