The incident in madurai in which the Commercial Tax Department officials conducted a surprise raid at the Amman restaurant owned by the actor soori in madurai has caused a stir. The restaurants that are said to be owned by the famous actor soori and his brothers are running hotels under the name of Amman restaurant in various places.
Hotels are doing well in madurai, especially at important junctions, Theppakulam, Oomachikulam, Reserve Line, Narimedu madurai Government Rajaji Hospital, etc. The Commercial Tax Department received information that the goods were purchased without proper documents by paying GST properly in the shops where food preparation items were purchased in bulk from these hotels.
 Based on that information, the Commercial Tax Department officials conducted a search at Amman restaurants in Madurai.The investigation revealed that tax evasion has taken place in the purchase of goods. It has been found that goods were purchased without paying GST tax in bulk purchases.
Based on that, it is reported that Commercial Tax Department officials have sent a notice to the Amman restaurant owner and manager. This has caused a huge stir among kollywood celebrities. Also, it is said that actor soori is instructed to come to court within three days of time.
