Godfather: Original Script Changed For Nayanthara?

SIBY JEYYA
As director Mohan raja has previously stated in interviews, "Lucifer's" original script has undergone a number of changes as megastar chiranjeevi has presented it to telugu audiences as "Godfather" today. However, although certain additions, such as increasing Abraham Qureshi's role in the conclusion, have sounded terrific, one modification caught many by surprise.

The character portrayed by Nayanthara will reportedly have a second sibling in the original, who is portrayed by Tovino Thomas. This brother figure will eventually become the Chief Minister, and that also came across as quite credible. In contrast, the character of the brother has been completely eliminated in Godfather, and at the film's conclusion, Nayanthara will hold the position as Chief Minister. One wonders if this alteration was done to give her role more prominence and power rather than to keep her as just a powerful supporting character in order to make the plot more engaging.

In the original, the character Manju Varrier (played here by Nayanthara) will have a daughter from a late spouse, and Manju's present husband, played by vivek Oberoi, will be taking advantage of her because he is a step-father. This part is now played by Nayanthara's sister, eliminating a significant emotional component.
