Varalaxmi Sarathkumar began her career as a heroine but went on to specialise on supporting parts. She received a lot of praise from the public and critics, particularly for her portrayal of Jayamma in Krack's "oora mass" role. She was exceptional in the role, which required a lot of villainy and attitude. Varalaxmi plays a sophisticated beauty pageant candidate in this week's movie Yashoda, but her performance didn't have much of an impression.
Despite giving a passable performance, the audience had trouble empathising with her in that position. Therefore, it is claimed that Varalaxmi only complements rugged and rough characteristics. She naturally fits into these personas, perhaps as a result of the tamil influence in her acting. In Balakrishna's next action comedy Veera simha Reddy, she is now playing another strong "oora mass" part.
She is portraying Musali Madugu Pratap Reddy's wife, who is the primary antagonist and is portrayed by kannada actor Duniya Vijay. According to insider reports, Varalaxmi once again gave the best performance in the movie under the direction of Gopichand Malineni. It will be intriguing to see if Varalaxmi can impact Veera simha Reddy in the same way that krack did.
