1 Lakh New Cinema Theaters in India
The indian government has made a commendable decision to build 1 lakh new movie theatres in rural areas of the country over the next several years. The administration of Common service Centers and october Cinemas have agreed to construct 100,000 movie theatres nationwide in rural locations. Depending on the local population, these theatres will have a seating capacity of 100–200. This entrepreneurial project is at the village level.
By the end of 2023, 1500 theatres are expected to be built throughout the nation. 10,000 more by the end of 2024. Through this programme, it is ultimately hoped to construct more than 1 lakh theatres in rural India. Each theatre might cost as much as Rs 15 lakhs, according to estimates.
