Sandeep Raj's first film, Color Photo, took home a national trophy for Telugu's Best Regional Film. The story, screenplay, and dialogues for "Mukhachitram" were written by sandeep Raj, who fashioned the movie in the manner of a romantic thriller. The movie gives off the impression that it is a plastic surgery thriller for a very long time. The conclusion of the second act is when the film's thesis is revealed. The film's main theme of marital rape becomes clear only then. It's a hot subject!
The primary plot's disclosure being postponed is not the only problem, though. This movie was marred by the inconsistent narration and the shoddy characterizations of the lead performers. The sudden turns don't look natural. Additionally, a drawn-out courtroom drama completely distorts the message's gravity. The courtroom drama seems to be a stage production. Vishwak Sen performs his part improperly.
It leaves the viewer with the impression that the chance to discuss a significant subject was lost as the movie ended. The film's quality is entirely harmed by the storyline and treatment. In summary, "Mukhachitram" fails terribly because of its weak narrative and subpar execution, while having an important and timely subject at its core.
