Films of mass heroes in South indian cinema are released every year on the day of the pongal festival and make the theaters roar. Especially since both ajith and Vijay, who are opposite each other in Kollywood, have clashed in theaters 6 times at the pongal festival, it has come to know who has got the most success. Apart from that, 8 years after the upcoming pongal, Thala Thalapathy's Varisu and Thunivu are released on the same day. After this, Ajith's Thunivu will release on january 11, 2023, and Vijay's Varisu will release on january 12, 2023. There is a possibility of a clash between these two films at the box office this year. In particular, the Varisu movie has been made as a family celebration movie and a favorite movie of young people.
In tamil Nadu, Thunivu is expected to collect more revenue than Varisu. So far, Vijay has won 5 times and ajith 3 times through films that collided like bulls clashing at the Wadivasal during the festive season.
