The eagerly awaited social drama Viduthalai, directed by National Award-winning director Vetrimaaran, has been in development for a while. The recent completion of filming for the movie, which will be distributed in two parts. Viduthalai: Part 1's official trailer has finally been published by Vetrimaaran and his team after a protracted wait, and it has significantly heightened anticipation for the movie, which stars vijay sethupathi and soori as the lead characters.
With a 2.42 minute runtime, the Viduthalai Part 1 official video teases that director Vetrimaaran will return to the silver screen with yet another soul-stirring cinematic experience. The social drama appears to centre on a raging conflict between the system, particularly a battalion of cops and a group of rebels known as "Makkal Padai" (People's Army), who are established to stop crimes against women and the underprivileged.
The authenticity with which the police force is portrayed, the realistic photography, the stirring score by the great musician Ilaiyaraja, and the impressive ensemble cast all suggest that Viduthalai will be a really ground-breaking cinematic event for the tamil film industry. The main character, played by Soori, is a young police officer named Kumaresan who works for the system and is on a mission to eliminate the "Makkal Padai" organisation and its commander, Perumal Vathiyar.
