It is widely known that renowned director Mani Ratnam's Dream Project ponniyin selvan 1 shattered all tamil language records and became an all-time box office success for tamil cinema. When it was released on september 30th of last year, the tamil audience, who had adopted this movie as their pride and had been so eager to see it in theaters, helped the movie become a big success.
Many viewers, meanwhile, believed the film would have performed better if it had been produced in other languages. ponniyin selvan had a respectable amount of buzz when it was released, but it received conflicting reviews in other languages and failed to make a lasting impression, which is now having an impact on the second half of the movie.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 will now be available on april 28. Even in tamil, there isn't much of a fascination for the freshly released video, which has failed miserably to revive the interest in other languages. Everyone is now wondering if the movie will surpass the first part's box office earnings or not.

Sequels often gather far more money than the first portion, however the second half of PS2 is not experiencing the same level of popularity. The movie has very little hype right now, so it won't be clear until it is released whether or not it will surpass the previous part's box office earnings.
