There isn't enough drama or chemistry between the major actors for the audience to care about Shakuntala's role. Samantha's typical persona also started to cause issues. samantha disappears for a significant amount of the second half following a compelling court scene. Here, the director ought to have highlighted her suffering more. gunasekhar most likely missed it while attempting to steer clear of melodrama. But in the process, the substance of a significant building block in the love story is lost. The Dushyanta's realisation similarly has little significance.
Allu Arha assists with the movie's climax. The audience enjoys the kid's charming on-screen persona and lovely sentence delivery. The final union also occurs without much fuss. Although the production design is excellent, the visual and 3D effects were inconsistent. We can plainly perceive Gunasekhar's sincere desire and effort in the movie Shaakuntalam. But after watching the movie, we get the impression that he was overly ambitious with the story he had to work with. Additionally, some problems are avoidable while others cannot be.
