Is Shaakuntalam Worth Watching ?

G GOWTHAM
Gunasekhar is making an honest and sincere effort to tell a mythological tale to the millennial generation. But he falls short of providing the proceedings with enough intensity to keep people's interest. Shakuntalam's downfall is due more to the superficiality of the basic emotions than the visual effects. If you are interested in the genre and have reasonable expectations, you can still give it a try.
A large cast is present in Shakuntalam. There are many different artists playing various roles. As Durvasa Mahamuni, mohan babu appears in a cameo and does well. Sathya appears in a comedic role, although it has little impact. Numerous other notable individuals are also there, including Sachin Khedkar, ananya nagalla, Prakash Raj, Gautami, Madhoo, Kabir Bedi, Jisshu Sengupta, Kabir Duhan Singh, Harish Uthaman, Subbaraju, and Aadarsh Balakrishna.

They contain both successes and failures. While some competent performers are given small roles, some recognisable data-faces are wasted. As was already stated, gunasekhar deserves praise for making the love story marketable. However, the writer in him has trouble arousing the appropriate feelings. The discourse is written with the idea that using Grandikam in excess should be avoided. The production design is excellent, but the visual effects are uneven. The 3D conversion causes further quality loss in numerous locations.
