Mallesham, raj R's first film as a filmmaker, received praise and won various prizes. The director is now working on the bollywood film 8 A.M. Metro, which stars saiyami kher and gulshan devaiah in the key roles. gulzar, a well-known bollywood poet, songwriter, and director who won the coveted Sahitya Akademi Award, revealed the first look poster for 8 A. M. Metro, which features the key actors.
As the title and the first look suggest, it’s the story of these two strangers who meet every day in Metro and become close to each other. There is however more than that. You'll observe Saiyami mouthing poems. gulzar wrote six poems for the film. 8 A. M. Release day for Metro is May 19.
Speaking about the film and Gulzar’s participation, raj said, “It’s a story of two strangers who inadvertently bump into each other in the metro and strike up an unlikely friendship, in the process finding themselves and each other. I'm indebted to the icon that is gulzar Saab and can't express how grateful I am for this selfless act.
Saiyami portrays Iravati, a 29-year-old housewife in the movie whose routine life in Nanded is turned upside down when she needs to run to hyderabad to care for her bedridden pregnant sister. She goes to Gulshan's Preetam, a banker with more going on than meets the eye, to help her overcome recurrent panic attacks, and the two go on numerous excursions together, both physical and metaphysical, finding comfort in one another's presence.
