Ponniyin Selvan 2 - Pre-Release Worldwide Box Office Business Details

Ponniyin Selvan 2 by mani ratnam is slated to hit theatres this week, and nationwide advertising for it is already in full force. With an all-star cast that includes Vikram, aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Trisha, and jayam Ravi, the movie is receiving high praise, particularly in the tamil version. The movie needs to receive positive initial reviews in order for other versions to gain momentum.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 is slated for worldwide release on its own, just like the first installment. ponniyin selvan 1 became a huge blockbuster with a worldwide gross of Rs 500Cr. Now, the sequel must earn more than 30% of the first part's revenue to be deemed successful. To qualify as a hit, the second installment needs to gross at least 650Cr. The movie opens on april 28, but the bookings have been a little underwhelming. A significant increase is needed to get this movie off to a great start. The word of mouth would be very important on april 28.

The cast also includes Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Lal, and Mohan Raman. The soundtrack for the film, which was made by madras Talkies in collaboration with Lyca Productions, was written by AR Rahman.
