PS 2: Missed A Trick In Telugu

G GOWTHAM
The sequel to the Mani Ratnam-directed film ponniyin selvan 2 recently arrived in theatres. The movie is performing as expected both domestically and internationally in Tamil. We have to agree that PS 2 is a superior product than the original installment. One explanation is that this part's drama is more compelling than the first one. Additionally, after watching the first installment, the audience is now more familiar with the characters.
Although the numbers in the telugu states may be on the low side, the cast and crew's lack of efforts is to blame. hyderabad just had one traditional event, and that was about it. The movie could have benefited from the sequel advantage if there had been more attempts made to promote it locally. There are glaring problems, such as the absence of the cinematic highs that telugu people typically yearn for. The absence of such could be another factor contributing to telugu people's lack of interest, who often enjoy big-event films.
However, PS 2 is a genuinely good attempt with some brilliant filmmaking from Mani Ratnam. Due to the lack of commercial elements, it may not be a film specifically created for telugu speakers, but it is still a good movie for fans of the genre. It would have surely aided the case had the team made greater attempts to promote the second installment in the telugu market. The team merely gave up, which has led to a less-than-favorable trend at the telugu box office.
