AGENT OTT Release in just 3 Weeks!

The movie Agent, which debuted last week, was a complete failure at the box office. The movie was a train wreck from the get-go and will be removed from theatres within a week of opening. The movie will begin streaming on OTT on SonyLiv on May 19 due to the film's dismal box office results. These days, many films that had a lackluster run at the box office choose to have an early release on OTT. Another notable instance is ravi Teja's Ravanasura, which debuted on OTT in just three weeks.

In Tollywood, there was uproar last year about films being published on online streaming services soon after their theatrical releases, which was destroying the box office receipts. Even strikes were organized to protest this method. All telugu films must wait at least four weeks for small-budget films and eight weeks for big, star-studded films before being released on streaming services, according to a rule that was just established.

Additionally, the rule stated that no OTT/digital/satellite partner names should be announced prior to the start of any movie in theatres. Additionally, theatre owners demanded that the name of the OTT partner not appear on any of the movie's promotional materials. However, the films will soon be available on OTT in a matter of two to three weeks, and neither theatre owners nor exhibitors appear to be opposed to this.
