singer Ustad Wasipuddin Thagar has alleged that the tune of Veera
raja Veera, featured in
ponniyin selvan 2, is taken from his
father and uncle's
shiva hymn. All allegations have been denied by the makers of the film, while production company
madras Talkies has denied the allegations and confirmed that Veera
raja Veera is not a copy of the Taggar Brothers' composition.
In a statement issued by the production side, Wasipuddin has created confusion for money and publicity gain. Veera
raja Veera is a classical composition composed by Narayana Panditacharya in the 13th century, it explains. The copy controversy has created confusion among the
film industry and fans.
