Samantha, A BIG JERK in my 25 years career - Dil Raju
The film producer discussed his finest and worst years as a producer during a YouTube interview. "2017 was the best year ever for me because it brought me so many revenues, including Shatamanam Bhavati, Nenu Local, and Middle Class Abbayi. Out of my 50 productions, only four or five had a poor financial outcome. In my 25-year stint in the film industry, Shaakuntalam just came as a huge surprise," dil raju stated.
I agree with it. I had faith in the endeavour. If the crowd enjoys it, it will become a smash hit. If they reject it, it was a mistake and the decision was incorrect. We would have to investigate what went wrong later. I had a preview screening four days before the official release because I believed in the movie, but the maths was off. I was already aware of the movie's unfavourable reviews. So I was prepared for the movie from Day 1," he continued.
A report in Great Andhra.com claims that Shaakuntalam producer dil raju lost Rs 22 crores as a result of the movie's box office flop. According to the article, he actually contributed to the venture's failure. This indicates that Shaakuntalam cost him any money he had gained from recent hits like dasara and Balagam.
