Ponniyan Selvan 2, directed by Mani Ratnam, is a big budget pan india movie in Tamil. This movie is getting good collections in tamil Nadu. But it must be said that the collections in the rest of the states are not as expected. So far this movie has collected 260 crores in terms of gross. This is a huge amount if you look at the normal number. However, the film has collected 172 crores worldwide in all languages.

According to this calculation, PS2 has collected a share of 125.40 crores in eight days. 46.60 crore share is required to reach break even. If you look at the area wise collection of this movie in telugu states, it has earned a share of 6.16 crores out of 12.75 crores gross. 10.50 crore PS2 business in Telugu. Another 4.34 crore shares have to be collected to break even. The recently released Rambhanam Peddaga did not show any effect.

If we look at the overall collections, it has collected 89.10 crores in tamil Nadu, 12.75 crores in telugu states, 16.10 crores in Karnataka, 12.75 crores in Kerala, 17.85 crores in Rest of india and 111.80 crores in overseas market. It collected 260.35 crore gross worldwide in all languages and has a share of 125.40 crore. The success of the movie can be judged on the extent to which Ponniyan Selvan 2 collects in the long run.
