Only Tamil Audience Can Make Them Hits

Yesterday in Chennai, Mari Selvaraj's forthcoming political thriller Maamannan's trailer and audio premiere were held. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh, Vadivelu, and Fahadh Faasil are the movie's stars. Celebrity filmmaker Vetrimaaran praised Mari Selvaraj, who was responsible for the critically acclaimed films Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, during the ceremony. Additionally, he extolled the virtues of the tamil populace, declaring that "only tamil audience makes unconventional content-oriented film box office successes."
Vetrimaaran's assertion is largely accurate, but telugu cinema also used to produce outlandish films that exposed the flaws in society. In the past, Dasari Narayan Rao and R Narayanmurthy created dissident films that found both economic and critical success. One of the best offbeat films ever made, Sindhooram by krishna Vamsi was tragically a box office failure.
However, it's undeniable that tollywood today lacks a novelist of the order of Vetrimaaran, PA Ranjith, TJ Gananavel, or Mari Selvaraj. As opposed to making films about communists or rebels, tollywood is now more interested in producing nationalistic films that lean more towards the "right" viewpoint. One of the most eagerly anticipated films in the tamil business is Maamannan. The performance of comedian Vadivelu is seen to be the movie's high point.
