Esha Deol is ecstatic right now! At the 69th National Film Awards, the short film "Ek Duaa" by the bollywood actress received a special mention in the non-feature film category. Esha sent an emotional message on her instagram account after an official announcement was made. The actress also discussed how her parents, dharmendra and hema Malini, responded to receiving this coveted award in an interview.
Esha Deol was questioned by News18 about her parents' response to "Ek Duaa's" National Award nomination. "No matter what we do in life, we always seek the approval of our parents. We need their blessing. I support, encourage, and bless my children even as a mother. It is highly significant. So, when I tackled a delicate subject like "Ek Duaa," they both encouraged me to accomplish it, said Esha.
Deol went on to say that her parents were concerned about "scrutiny" of her professional life. They are legends, my parents. They have always believed that since they are so big, anyone who follows in their footsteps and chooses to work in the same field would be scrutinised. Thus, they were overjoyed, she said.
