Actor karthi, who made his debut as a hero in the tamil film industry with the film Paruthi Veeran, has crossed twenty years in his journey in the film industry. It is noteworthy that the film 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan is his 25th film in this twentieth year. The film stars anu emmanuel as the female lead, actors Sunil, Vagai Chandrasekhar, directors KS Ravikumar, Vijay Milton and malayalam actor Sanal Aman in pivotal roles. Composed by GV Prakash, directed by Ravivarman, and composed by Philominraj, 'Japan' is a diwali release.

Speaking on the occasion, actor karthi said, “Today is a special day for me. The entire team at Dream Warrior Pictures has created such an amazing moment for me. I thank the director Mani Ratnam sir.. I have never seen such a dedicated person in this film industry.. Aamir Anna who made a huge impression on me as a newbie who didn't know anything about acting. The person who first inspired me was Gnanavel Raja. Pandyan master was my pillar in the background in the fight scenes in my films including Kaithi and Ponniin Selvan. His teaching in risky situations during fight scenes has saved me many times.

Thanks to producer Ravindran sir who had a lot of faith in me during the shooting days of the thousand and one. lord shiva is the overall embodiment of positivity. When many people thought that I can't do anything without a beard, director Lingusamy made me different with the film Paiya. I would like to thank everyone including my music directors, technicians, make-up crew. director Vinod is a rare man. Although he speaks only a few words, he is a clear thinker. Gokul has given me a great film like Kashmora. Even though the film did not do well in the theatres, it was well received when it was released online. When we both worked together we went to see the movie magadheera as a group. He longed for such a good character.
