During this time, she has posted two pictures of herself, in which she is sitting in the hospital and during this time she is wearing white hospital clothes. On May 19, 2023, I woke up early in the morning, packed a small suitcase, and kissed Lily, then Jahaan and Kara took me to Hinduja Hospital in Khar.

Zeenat had an eye injury 40 years ago

He further wrote- There has been an elephant in the room with me for the last 40 years. The time has come to show this elephant the way out. I have a condition called ptosis – the result of an injury decades ago that damaged the muscles around my right eye. Over the years this has caused my eyelids to droop even more and a few years ago it became so severe that my vision started getting disturbed. He further wrote that when someone's career is based on his looks, it is difficult to bring dramatic change to it. I know for a fact that this ptosis limited many of my opportunities and made me the subject of unwanted attention, but despite the gossip, comments, and questions, I never felt less than. It helped that some of the veterans always stood by me and still chose to work with me.

Even after several treatments, there was no benefit

Zeenat further said that the treatments available to me at that time and for decades thereafter were unsuccessful. Then in april this year, an eye specialist informed me that things had progressed, and surgery to lift the eyelid and restore my vision was possible.

Zeenat thanked the family and doctor

I remained indecisive for a long time, then went through several tests and finally committed to the procedure. I was very scared in the hospital that morning. My hands and feet became cold and shivers ran through my body. Zahan kissed my forehead, reassured me, and took me to the OT, where I surrendered to the hands of my medical team. I emerged from there an hour later – alive, healthy, and looking like a blindfolded pirate. The recovery has been slow, steady, and ongoing, but I am happy to say that my vision is much clearer now.
