But it is true. producer PL Thenappan has told in an interview about the hero who was to play in this film and how the film came to Vijay.
Thenappan said: "Before Khushi, he had given an advance to Vijay sir. At that time, when he had gone to switzerland for the shoot of the film Minsara Khanna, Vijay came to him and told him that the film vaali was very good and that he should meet the director SJ surya and ask him about the story. After that, he met and spoke to SJ Surya. He said that he is going to make a film produced by AM Ratnam, in which prabhu deva will play the hero. Thenapan said that Vijay wanted to act in SJ Surya's direction. He said that he can talk too. After that, he went on a trip to london for a month.
When he came back after his tour, it was announced that Vijay would be acting in AM Ratnam's production and SJ Surya's direction. It was only then that he came to know that prabhu deva was replaced by Vijay. Well, he didn't say anything to them as they get what they get," said Thenappan.
