In the film, Pankaj played the role of a dreaded butcher sultan Qureshi. Pankaj's role was liked so much by the audience that real-life gangsters started contacting him. Recently Pankaj revealed this in an interview.

Pankaj Tripathi is one of the most successful and talented actors in bollywood at present. Currently, he is in the news for his upcoming film 'Main Atal Hoon'. Pankaj got his big break in Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur. He played the role of a butcher in the film, which people liked very much. Now Pankaj has made an interesting revelation about his role. In an interview, Pankaj said, after the film hit, many real gangsters had contacted me. At that time, many gangsters from North and South india started considering me as their idol.


Pankaj told me that people liked my character of sultan Qureshi in the film. He said, 'He felt that sultan does what he says in the film and his character in the film is also good. That's why he liked sultan very much. Pankaj said, 'After this, many writers who came to narrate the script to him started getting scared of him. They thought that maybe I had a knife in my pocket. Many writers also felt that I might take out a knife while narrating the story.


In the interview, Pankaj also talked about his first meeting with ram Gopal Varma. He said that filmmaker ram gopal varma had called him to meet. ramu sat in front of me and started looking at me. He looked at me for about 15 minutes. If someone keeps looking at you for 10-15 minutes, obviously you will feel strange and you will not know where to look now! Then he asked me to leave and never called me back.


It is noteworthy that Pankaj Tripathi's film 'Main Atal Hoon' is being released in theaters on 19 january 2024. It is directed by renowned National Award-winning director of Marathi cinema, ravi Jadhav. The story of the film has been written jointly by Rishi Virmani and ravi Jadhav.
