Vishal begins last schedule of shoot
Vishal is now working on his 34th film, Rathnam, which is directed by Hari. On Wednesday, the actor said that he has began his final schedule of filming for the film, which is taking place in Tirupati.
He wrote on his official X account, "Feeling blessed by the almighty up there as I enter the first day of shoot in 2024 in Tirupati. No better place to start I guess. Canning the impossible 3 min single shot stunt and chase sequence choreographed by Kannal Kannan master in director Hari’s #Rathnam. The planning and execution by Dir hari sir and DOP sukumar and the entire team is a treat to watch and learn for an aspiring director like me. The last schedule is in full throttle. Thank you, god, as I enter the 20th year of my career. god Bless" (sic)
The action film is set to be released in summer 2024. The film's developers recently issued a first look poster, which depicted a blood-soaked vishal clutching a sword in one hand and a severed head in the other. Rathnam is produced by karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Productions and Kaarthekeyan Santhanam's Zed Studios. The next film would be hari and Vishal's third collaboration after Thamirabharani (2007) and Poojai (2014).
