He showed his talent not only as a director but also as an actor. The last movie released under his direction is Marryan. Cheran, who participated in the bigg boss program after the film was released in 2019, has not directed a single film in the last four years. In this situation, cheran recently directed a web series called Journey. The web series was released in OTT for Pongal.

Accordingly, cheran is planning to film the life story of Ramadoss, the famous politician and founder of the Pataali Makkal Party. It is also said that cheran has approached actor and politician Sarathkumar to play the character of Ramadas in this film. It is said that cheran is currently working on the script for this. It is noteworthy that actor Sarathkumar had earlier played the lead role in the journey web series directed by Cheran. Now, reports suggest that both of them are going to reunite with Ramadoss's biopic.
