It's a Complete Ranbir Kapoor Show for next 4 years!

G GOWTHAM
After four years away from the cinema, ranbir kapoor returned with 'Shamshera' in 2022. The YRF historical drama may have flopped at the box office, but it provided a springboard for the actor's future work.
First, he wowed everyone by co-starring with his wife, alia bhatt, in 'Brahmastra', which went on to become the year's top grosser. A few months later, he acted in Luv Ranjan's romantic comedy 'Tu Jhooti Main Makkar', which reintroduced the 'fun, engaging Ranbir' to the screen. Then followed 'Animal', which showcased his stunning performance as the anti-hero in the sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film. The actor is back in the industry, and his next projects demonstrate why filmmakers continue to bet on the prince of the Kapoor family.
Ranbir will have a busy few years ahead of him, since he has signed several major films. The actor has even considered alternative genres, having understood that his fandom includes both esoteric and mainstream audiences. Here's a rundown of what to expect from him in the future.
Ramayan

After Om Raut's unsuccessful attempt, Nitesh Tiwari of 'Dangal' fame has taken on the task of bringing Lord Rama's classic narrative to the big screen. The creators of the mytho-drama have allegedly already recruited ranbir kapoor to play Ram, sai pallavi as Sita, yash as Ravan, and vijay sethupathi as Vibhishan. However, there has been no formal confirmation. Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayan' is planned to be a trilogy, with each film focused on a major episode of the epic.
Love and War

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has unveiled his next major project with the three, dubbed 'Love and War'. The love triangle is described as a timeless love story set in a war-torn nation. While Ranbir and alia have previously collaborated with Sanjay on 'Saawariya' and 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', this would be Vicky's debut film with him. The 'Sam Bahadur' actor collaborated with Ranbir and alia in 'Sanju' and 'Raazi', respectively. This casting coup has piqued the interest of fans, who can't wait for the film to be released in december of next year.
Animal Park

While fans were still reeling from Ranbir Kapoor's performance in 'Animal', director sandeep Reddy Vanga announced a sequel. The picture, titled 'Animal Park', is expected to be darker and more violent. It will also have other characters teaming together to add to the drama. According to Vanga's indications, Ranbir will play both Ranvijay and Aziz. The producers have yet to declare a release date. However, if sources are accurate, the crew is finalising the screenplay and plans to release 'Animal Park' in early 2026.
Brahmastra 2 - Dev

The second installment of the 'Brahmastra' trilogy, titled 'Dev', starring Ayan Mukerji, will be released in 2026. While the first chapter centred on Ranbir Kapoor's shiva and his experience with his talents, the sequel will now tell the narrative of his father, Dev. Rumours claim that hrithik roshan and ranveer singh have been contacted for the role, and that Ranbir may portray Dev himself. While alia bhatt will play Isha (Shiva's love interest), deepika padukone will play Amrita, Dev's wife and Shiva's mother.
