Actor Vishwak Sen promised to boycott marketing if Gangs of Godavari was not published in december of last year, but he quickly realised the truth. According to the new release schedule, Gangs of Godavari should be released on march 8th. According to sources, the film is also on the verge of being pushed back from its original release date. Due to a personal tragedy in the family, music composer Yuvan shankar Raja's work for Gangs of Godavari's background soundtrack has been delayed.
