Low Bookings Prompt Makers’ Drastic Action!

G GOWTHAM
Two big Eid films, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" and "Maidaan," are much anticipated by the trade, the film business, and spectators alike. A startling turn of circumstances happened just three days before to the initial publication date of Wednesday, april 10. In order to capitalise on the Eid vacation, the producers of "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" have opted to reschedule the release from april 10 to april 11 (Eid). The poor quantity of reservations made in advance for april 10 had an impact on our choice.

Additionally, in order to obtain "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" better exposure in theaters—particularly in a conflict scenario—the filmmakers decided to cut the film's duration. After being cut by about 7-8 minutes, the movie will now run for 2 hours and 36 minutes. Given the sorry state of advance reservations, Bade Miyan Chote Miya's first-day revenue of 20 crores would now be seen as fantastic. Previously, the film was predicted to gross 30 crores. Additionally, anyone who purchased tickets on april 10 may decide not to purchase them again if they change their minds or lose interest.

Furthermore, a last-minute postponement like this conveys to the viewer that the product's creators lack confidence in it. These days, the public is quite astute and is aware of these things from a distance. Rumours are also circulating that the creators of "Maidaan" may decide to shorten their work as well. Both films will now have paid previews on april 10 starting at 6:00 PM. On april 10, multiplexes have promised reimbursements for tickets purchased for shows from 6 PM until dawn.
